About Voice for the Voiceless Woman S/L
ABOUT US
Voice for the Voiceless Woman (VVW) is a registered, women-led, community-based organization founded in 2010 in Bo District, Southern Sierra Leone. Born out of the urgent need to uplift the silenced voices of women, girls, and persons living with disabilities affected by harmful traditional practices, VVW has become a powerful grassroots movement for gender justice, dignity, and human rights.
Officially registered with the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Bo District Council, VVW has spent over a decade working at the intersection of tradition and transformation. We are a voice, a safe space, and a catalyst for change standing with survivors, advocating with communities, and empowering those who have long been pushed to the margins.
Our Mission
We are committed to ensuring that every woman, girl, and person with a disability lives free from violence and discrimination—and is empowered to lead, thrive, and shape her future with dignity and purpose.
Our Vision
A just and inclusive society where women, girls, and persons with disabilities are respected, protected, and empowered to fulfill their full potential.
